Surrey County Cricket Club-Office Refurbishment at The Kia Oval
Surrey County Cricket Club (Surrey CCC) is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. Based at the iconic Kia Oval, the club required a refurbishment of its back-office areas within the historic Bedser Stand, following recent redevelopment works at the ground.
Project Overview
Several office and support spaces were identified for a full revamp to bring them up to modern standards of functionality, efficiency, and comfort. Lomax Commercial was appointed to deliver the works, ensuring a balance between preserving the heritage of the venue and creating a contemporary workplace for staff.

Scope of works
The project required a comprehensive strip-out and demolition of outdated fittings, followed by a full refurbishment package, including:
Demolition and strip-out – removal of old partitions, ceilings, and fixtures to prepare the space for redevelopment.
HVAC services – installation of new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to improve comfort and efficiency.
Electrical and data installation – upgraded wiring, cabling, and infrastructure to support modern office technology.

New offices and workspace layout – redesigned office areas to maximise functionality and staff productivity.
Flooring – installation of durable and modern flooring solutions.
Fittings, furnishings, and joinery – bespoke and high-quality finishes to complete the transformation.
Decoration – refreshed interiors throughout to create a welcoming and professional environment.
Building Control – full compliance with statutory requirements, including inspections and approvals.
